Constructing the Collage

Constructing the Collage

The motif I used in the centre of the collage is a stylised floral pattern photographed from the wrought iron railings in front of the building. I cut out the centre circle motif and the 16 ‘petal’ shapes, glued them onto card and arranged them on a base which shows the wooden beams on the roof of the church and the brick arch supporting walls. After cutting, each piece was numbered and placed in the correct order, before being stuck into position.
