Glasgow City Canopy of Lights

The collage features the holly and bell lights from George Square, the pillars outside Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art, purple and red lighting which illuminate the buildings of Royal Exchange Square and strips of red lighting taken from a photograph of the Glasgow suspension bridge which crosses the River Clyde near the city centre.

The completed collage measures 40cm square with colours which reflects the seasonal theme.

The bright and warm lights in the shape of a Christmas tree have been placed eight times in the collage design giving it the overall symmetrical shape and where the other collage pieces have been placed. Parts of the Gallery of Modern Art pillars and areas from the light canopy, complete the design.
