This collage is also postcard size and features detail from the escalator which ascends from the ground floor of the building and is illuminated with blueish purple lights.
I am very privileged and delighted to be having an exhibition of my collage work at The Lighthouse, Scotland’s Centre for Design and Architecture situated in Glasgow’s Mitchell Street. You can visit the exhibition from Monday 7th September until Sunday 27th September.
The exhibition is timed to coincide with Glasgow Doors Open Day Building Heritage Festival which run from 14th to 20th September 2015.
Formerly the premises of The Glasgow Herald newspaper, The Lighthouse was the first public commission completed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. It is a visitor centre, exhibition space and events venue with a cafe and shop.
The building itself is well worth visiting and there are spectacular views over the city from the top of the building.
